Subrata Roy to sleep on the floor at Tihar, eat jail food

New Delhi, Mar 4 (PTI): Sahara chief Subrata Roy, who was sent in judicial custody for a week in Delhi by the Supreme Court today, will be kept in high-security Tihar prison where he will sleep on the floor and eat jail food like an ordinary prisoner.

Roy, who calls himself managing worker of Sahara India Pariwar, the largest private sector employer in the country, will be allowed to meet visitors only twice a week.

"Unlike other jails, where prisoners are categorized under A, B or C category, we don't have such special class. So, he will be kept as an ordinary prisoner," Tihar Jail spokesperson Sunil Gupta said.

"We have two complexes, one at Tihar and the other in Rohini. We have decided to keep him at Tihar Complex where he will be treated like any ordinary prisoner", he said.

"He will have to sleep on the floor and have to eat jail food. Visitors will be allowed to meet him only twice a week and that too from the list of ten people he will have to submit at the time of admission," he said.

Once he reaches Tihar, a doctor will examine him for any medical condition and if he is found to be suffering from one, treatment will start from day one itself.

"He will be kept in a civil cell to save him from other prisoners," Gupta said.

Roy was today ordered to remain in custody for a week in Delhi by the Supreme Court which was unhappy over the proposal his group on the refund of investors' money as it has not come up with any concrete proposal.

Apart from Roy, the bench also ordered that the Group's other two Directors Ravi Shankar Dubey and Ashok Roy Choudhary be taken into custody letting the woman Director, Vandana Bhargava free.

Amount 20000 Crores Indian rupess. How many people are opposing?. I READ Economic Times Everyday. Some investor. There are thousands of investors and nobody bothered or any mass movement against him like we see any bankrupt financial institution is mobbed by people for their money. Lots of questions. The only thing is that he breeched the SEBI'S RULE OR RULE OF THE LAND but not his investors. Than why can't we make a system wherein a farmer from village starts investing in stocks or debentures through some PONZY schemes or Ferarri schemes ..

It is good to experience sleepless nights Mr. Roy, because you have given these tough times to your employees and shareholders. This should be the way to take action on all defaulters to ensure big wigs are careful before swindling public money and enjoy life to the fullest extent they can.
Please initiate strict action against all major defaulters and make sure justice is given to common men who have been deprived and cheated in life.

    Saga of Subrata Roy-
    Rags to Riches Story!
He used media to the hilt to fool the majority through paid advertisements.
The majority of his depositors are BENAMI, their names & addresses were fictitious & non-existent.
He is suspected to Money Laundering by routing his investments through the Mauritius route to London & other foreign countries.
He sent truck loads of crap as documents to SEBI to confuse them into a manual method of verification which will take years to verify.
Instead of sending details of depositors & their deposits & the money repaid as directed, he created a zig saw puzzle.
He was seen with many politicians cutting across the party line, most probably they are tight lipped about him for the simple reason they were laundering their corrupt money through him.
There are no Bank Drafts, Cheques or Bank statements corroborating sale of any properties & money paid back to investors.
They claim, they paid them back in CASH Rs 20,000 crores!
Depositors were offered different schemes & papers after signing they had received the money back, they only are now holders of piece of paper, which is against the order of SEBI or Supreme Court Order restricting them from collecting new investments as they had violated SEBI's initial approval to collect 2 & half crores only.
Now can anyone justify this swindling Subrata Roy as a provider of jobs or the mighty FALL with a big BANG.
He is at PAR with Satyam Scam.

SAHARA Parivar chiefs' efforts and contributions are enormous and impeccable . Despite sponsoring prestigious SAHARA logo for BCCI for decades , he firmly stood against cricket MAFIA. All his works were honest and on national interest , thus not satifieing vested interests behind government and babus. The corrupt government uses CBI as a tool to intimidate political opponents , so it used SEBI to frame sahara chief.

The sahara built nation culture and patriotism with its cultural programs , sponsors , media channels , even with Logo and costumes the employees wear. Courts are very partial towards sahara since so called other oil barons and mafia kingpins looting nation and still not nailed.

I strongly object leniency shown towards women directer as law should treat both genders equal. Its a joke just like women reservation even in bus. The more VIP'S get into prison , prison rights will create awareness. 150 days of parole every year in jail sentence , better food , sanitation , access to new and magazines , limited access to mobiles and internet. It patronizes the one concept , PRISONS ARE THERE TO REHABILITATE AND NOT TO PUNISH.

The present situation to sleep on the floor at Tihar jail may be political gimmick or media hype. We don't know the realistic situation, but imagine the fate of those who lost job, whose lives got ruined and forced them to sleep on the road forever.
These disasters happened because Subrata Roys' feku promises. If Subrata Roy sleeps on the floor at Tihar till he get bail justifies the agony of those?
