Five Taliban killed in Afghanistan


Kabul, March 6 (IANS): Afghan security forces raided a Taliban hideout killing five militants Thursday, an official said.

"Units of national security stormed a Taliban hideout in Badpakh district (in the eastern Laghman province) in the morning, killing five rebels including a commander named Mullah Hazrat and his brother named Khayal," Sarhadi Zawak, a spokesman for the provincial administration, told Xinhua.

Two more militants were arrested during the operation, he added.
