Udupi, Jun 1: "Persons and organizations which often boast that they have been established to protect the rights of the people, are now turning into anti-social elements. With the support of people with high influence, these organizations are taking law into their hands. Despite being involved in anti-social activities, they walk out scot-free owing to the political support they have. These organizations which have strong support from their particular religion should be involved in activities which build up a healthy society and not in activities which destroy the secular fabric of the society," opined former MP Vinay Kumar Sorake.
