Modi's popularity dips but NDA still leading: Survey

New Delhi, Mar 7 (Times of India) : NDA is likely to get between 212 and 232 seats if the Lok Sabha elections were held today, with BJP alone winning between 193 and 213, according to an opinion poll done for a TV channel. The poll, based on a survey of six states, puts the UPA a distant second with 119 to 139 seats, of which Congress was projected to win between 94 and 110.

The CNN-IBN poll, conducted by CSDS and Lokniti, made these projections based on surveys in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Delhi. While the seat figures are more or less the same as the projections done by the same pollsters in January, the popularity rating of Narendra Modi has dipped significantly.

In January, 36% of respondents to the survey had chosen Modi as their preferred PM. That figure is now down to 31%. In contrast, there has been an uptick of one percentage point each in those picking Rahul Gandhi (now 13%), Sonia Gandhi, Mayawati, Mulayam Singh and Manmohan Singh.

The poll also shows BJP's projected vote share down marginally from the January estimate and the Congress vote share too down marginally. The saffron party continues to enjoy a significant lead with 33% compared to Congress' 26%.

Apart from the NDA and UPA, the Trinamool Congress is likely to be the biggest party winning between 20 and 28 seats, according to the survey. The Left with 15-23, AIADMK with 14-20, YSR Congress and SP with 11-17 seats each, BJD, TDP and DMK with 10-16 each and BSP with 8-14 could be the other significant players in the 16th Lok Sabha, it projected.

If these projections turn out right, it would almost certainly mean that the next government in New Delhi would be headed by Modi and would be cobbled together by the existing NDA joining hands with smaller regional parties. Neither Congress nor the ill-defined Third Front/Federal Front would really be in a position to take a meaningful shot at forming a government in such a scenario.

The bjp has become one man party...even if bjp wins there will be infighting...recently advani stressed it in bjp meet the way the other leaders are sidelined and supported the rahuls comment of one man party infront of everyone...Modi has such a character that he cant take every partymen together..we know it from gujarat......He has such a dictatorial attitude....I think bjp is in a suicidal mission by projecting one man....The same happened in congress where it split during indira gandhis tenure

Since Modi's popularity is going down after every exposure by Kejriwal, all the BJPians are hating Kejriwal, and they are the main persons who are planting stories & fake News against AAP all over India. Even those insulting funny jocks of AAP & Kejriwal are also coined by BJPians only and floated around in Social media & Newspapers with a sole intention of downgrading the stature of AAP in the eyes of young generation.

Congress is putting all its efforts to bring down Modi's popularity!!! Their paid agent kaliyugada Shakuni Kejriwal is helping his best to congress!!! But we should remember that this time around 50 crore voters are between the age group of 18 to 28 who are all educated and it is not so easy for Kejriwal to make fool all of them!!!

CONGRESS IS BEHIND SUCH NEWS. MODI'S POPULARITY HAS BEEN INCREASED MANIFOLD SINCE HE ELECTED AS PM CANDIDATE BY THE NDA. HE HAS THE ABILITY TO MAKE NEGATIVES INTO POSITIVE AND FIGHT WITH ALL HIS OPPONENTS. NO OTHER PARTY LEADERS MATCH MODI'S CAPABILITIES. NDA WILL WIN THE ELECTION WITH 272 . THIS IS ESSENTIAL AND IMPORTANT AS INDIA NEEDS A DYNAMIC LEADER AT THE MOMENT OTHERWISE THE COUNTRY WILL BE RUINED. JAI BHARAT MATA. JAI NAMO. JAI DEVELOPMENT.

Modi can only become PM if NDA gets 240 seats plus. This is highly unlikely , reason being there is dissent among NDA about MODI , and also he does have pan India presence. I feel there are lots of better candidates among NDA , with clean past.

If this guy keeps on making people fools by giving speeches. then definitely his image is going to fall.
    I just have few questions.
BJP made lots of money during Ayodhya issue, stating they will build RAM temple during 2002. They did gather lot of funds in the name of Ayodhya from poor people as well, but where is that money gone ??
Now BJP is collecting money in the name of MODI as PM ?
why does it really want to collect money ?
when the election money is funded by the Election Commission ?why does this party want poor people to donate in this guys name ?
So much money is wasted on these NAMO Banners ,chai pe charcha ,NAMO brigade ? Whose money is this . this party has said that it has not made any ghotala nor it has been in power ? but from where is this money ??
we know this naleen kumar kateel has only wasted his MP fund on narendra modi's banner everywhere. Its found in every bus stop or every temple with a banner of Naleen and NAMO ?
Anybody who votes this guy is definitely a big fool.
It seems it will be a one man show in BJP. NAMO will be PM, Home minister , Agriculture minister, finance minister, rest all .....
That's why it's not party its NAMO.
The way he acts he thinks that he is already a PM

Modi's popularity now projected is full of window dressing because of polluted media coverage.Once AAP exposes Modi, the rating of Modi will still dip down because the present rating is artificial. All the best to the AAP in their effort.Thanq.
