Kabul, March 9 (IANS): A bomb blast ripped through a market Sunday in Afghanistan's Kandahar province, a former stronghold of the Taliban, killing two people and injuring one, a police spokesman in the province said.
"The blast occurred in a scrap market in Spin Boldak town at 1 p.m., leaving a father and his son dead and injuring another," Zia Durani, the spokesman, told Xinhua.
An investigation has been initiated to determine the reason for the deadly incident, he added.
