Mangalore, Jun 4: It is spring time for Konkani. The maiden edition of new Konkani weekly "Dirvem" will be launched at Sandesha Hall here on Sunday June 4 morning at 10.30.
President of the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy Eric Ozario will preside over the function while Dolphy Cascia, president of the Konkani Writers Forum will release the maiden issue of Dirvem. Fr Pius Fidelis Pinto, manager of Samanvaya will bless the new venture.
Noted journalist and owner of Ronida Press Media Mumbai Rons Bantwal will be the chief guest and Michael Misquith, managing trustee of Ashakiran Trust here will the guest of the honour on the occasion.
The new Konkani weekly "Dirvem" is published by Konkani Publications and edited by J A Monis.
