Rainy Tuesday in Delhi, light showers expected Wednesday


New Delhi, March 11 (IANS): The capital saw light, sporadic rain and a partly cloudy sky Tuesday and the Met office has forecast light showers Wednesday as well.

"Some parts of the city may get one or two spells of light rain till noon tomorrow (Wednesday) - the skies will remain partly cloudy through the day," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 27 and 14 degrees Celsius.

Tuesday recorded a total of 0.6 mm of rainfall from 8.30 a.m. to 5.20 p.m. The day was pleasant and the maximum temperature settled two notches below the seaon's average at 26.8 degrees Celsius while the minimum was a notch above the seaon's average at 15.2 degrees Celsius.

Monday was a rainy day with a maximum temperature at 23.2 degrees Celsius - five notches below the season's average, while the minimum was 15.6 degrees Celsius - two notches above the season's average.
