Wipro to service SGI data customers in India


Bangalore, March 12 (IANS): IT bellwether Wipro has entered into a strategic partnership with the US-based SGI to service its customers and partners in big data and computing, and expand its market presence in India.

"As exclusive authorised service provider for SGI, we will also provide new solutions, maintenance services and enhanced support to its customers and partners across the country," Wipro vice-president Anuj Bhalla said in a statement here.

As a leader in high performance computing, SGI is focused on helping customers solve their business and technology challenges by delivering technical computing, big data analytics, cloud computing, and petascale storage solutions that accelerate time to discovery, innovation and profitability.

"SGI customers will benefit from our extensive network of staff and services. The partnership will maximise SGI's ability to provide industry leading solutions to its customers," Bhalla said.

SGI Asia-Pacific director Greg McKeon said on the occasion that the partnership with Wipro would enhance its service capability and ensure meeting business targets by its users in the market place.
