Mangalore, Jun 5: A farewll was arranged for the first outgoing batch at St Joseph's Engineering College in the auditorium. The college was established in 2002.
The number of students passing out the first time was 174, drawn from Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science & Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Departments.
As a token of appreciation, a momento of silver ring was presented to each outgoing student. This ring also represents a bond between the student and Institute. During the function, the outgoing students took a pledge to uphold the values of the engineering profession.
SJEC president Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza presided over the function and blessed the outgoing students. Founder principal of the college Dr P Sudhakar Shetty was the chief guest.
