Bangalore, Jun 5: The condition of Fr Henry Madtha, who was severely injured in a road accident at Hiresave near ChannarayaPatna, had improved slightly by Sunday evening, according to hospital sources.

He is reported to be better than what he was on Saturday. The scanning reports show that the blood clots formed were dissolving slowly., but he is still in an unconscious state and is in the ICU.

Archbishop Bernard Moras has been visiting him in the hospital everyday. Fr Madtha was scheduled to take over at Koppa church in a week's time, close sources said. A large number of people from Magge have been camping outside St John's Hospital to keep tabs on his health condition and pray for him, the sources said. The poor people of Magge are said to have been helped by Fr Madtha and therefore they are showing so much affection and concern about him, they said.
