Mysore, June 5: The Government of Karnataka has made the process of applying for passport easier and simpler. It is launching 'Acceptance of application for a passport' service through its 'Bangalore One' centres of Bangalore today in association with Ministry of External Affairs.
The facility will be initially available between 9 am and 8 pm at the Integrated Citizen Service Centres 'Bangalore One' at Malleswaram (Ph: 22955415), Vijayanagar (22955405), R.T. Nagar (22955425), Jayanagar (22955450) and Airport Road (22955440). There will be no holiday.
Citizens-friendly executives will assist the applicants in submitting the applications.
Fees should be remitted through DD only. There will be no service charges. The environment is friendly and comfortable.
Bangalore One centres also offer other services including payment of bills of BESCOM, BWSSB, BSNL, CELLONE, property tax, RTO tax, Traffic fines and challans, Tata Indicom, Reliance and Spice.
Bangalore One centres also assist the citizens to obtain birth and death certificates, renewal of DL and LLR, market value assistance for property registration, renewal of registration certificate of shops and commercial establishments and western union money transfer services.
