Dhoni seeks Rs 100 Cr damages from Zee TV Network

Chennai, Mar 18 (Agencies): Mahendra Singh Dhoni, captain of the Indian cricket team has moved Madras high court seeking Rs 100 crore as damages from Zee Television Network for accusing him of involving in match fixing.

On Tuesday, Dhoni also won an interim order from the court, restraining the Zee group from telecasting interviews or news pertaining to certain match-fixing allegations against him.

Denying his involvement in any such unlawful activities, Dhoni said his hard-earned reputation was under stake and his name was being sullied by unverified reports.

Admitting his Rs 100-crore suit on Tuesday, a single judge of the Madras high court restrained Zee group channels from telecasting any interview or discussion on Dhoni and the alleged scandal.

In fact, Dhoni himself should give Rs.100 crore compensation to Indian Cricket Lovers for Fixing 2012 IPL final between CSR-Channai and KKR-Kolkatta and intentionally making his own side lose in the final and allowing KKR to win. Hefty sum changed hands in this final match for losing the final purposely.

Money is the root cause of all evil, and whenever it is in copious amounts all sorts of dubious things are bound to happen, and cricket once a gentleman's game is no more so!! The public are fools to give so much of importance to it and waste their time watching it, and indulge in betting etc. even after umpteen cases of match fixing has come up at regular intervals!!

Does Dhoni forget that its the same media (including Zee) that gave him the publicity to reach the masses ? Its through the very publicity that he is earning crores in product endorsement ? If he wasn't utilizing the publicity, he should have been happy with just what he is earning out of his sport ! The image that he is talking about to have damaged is existing precisely because he reached the masses through the very media !

Dhoni must have had the decency not to have given any chance to such complications. Why Dravid, Kumble, Tendulkar are clean of such accusations ? There is no smoke without fire !

Dhoni must instead compensate his admirers for causing this humiliation ! Does he agree to this ?

Corrupt should be punished. At the same time, these news channels have become chamchas of vested interests. Zee News is also not different. Few days back, I was watching Zee News and they were discussing about Kareena Kapoor's pregnancy. Instead of concentrating on national issues, they debate more on useless issues. Most of the media houses in India are biased and they should be taught a lesson. Indian judiciary and law agencies should speed up the investigation on match fixing and guilty should be punished at the earliest.

Whether the match fixing is true or false is not important here. TV channels encashing on such "masala" news and conducting interviews and making money by fooling people with such news should stop. This is a lesson for them. The same thing holds good for siding political parties in elections. Let them pay a penalty and they will learn.

The dis-interest the chaps under him display at the moment, while donning the National colors is a disgrace.Something rotten has indeed happened and the hunger , greed for money has overtaken everything else. Cricket should either be banned or the men at the helm of this sport in this country should be shunted out. Till then everybody should boycott this game here.

Mr.Dhoni Police officer Sampath Kumar had exposed your match fixing with all solid proof. Then Who influenced Jayalalitha Govt to Suspend the Police Officer Sampath Kumar without any reason ? It was quite evident that Sampathkumar was suspended only to Save you Dhoni. Srinivasan of India Cement used his influence to shunt out that honest Cop and protect you.
