Indian among four arrested in Sri Lanka for overstaying


Colombo, March 21 (IANS): An Indian, along with three Chinese men, was arrested for overstaying and engaging in illegal trade in Sri Lanka, police said.

The Indian, 34, who was living in the suburbs of Yakkalamulla, 17 km from the city of Galle, was arrested Thursday and has been sentenced to jail till April 1, the Daily Mirror reported.

The three Chinese men who were also arrested will be presented in court Friday.
