Man burnt alive over land dispute in Bihar


Patna, March 22 (IANS): A man was burnt alive in Bihar's Kaimur district over an alleged land dispute, police said Saturday.

Mohan Shah, a resident of Sivo village, was burnt to death late Friday by some villagers.

"He (the victim) was burnt after pouring petrol on him when he was sleeping in his house," a district police official said.

Shah's family members have lodged a case against five people.

Tension prevailed as angry villagers blocked roads and demanded the arrest of the accused forcing deployment of police in the area.
