Mangalore, Jun 7: Those who have the habit of singing or humming a tune while walking on the road need to be careful now. According to members of an organization it is wrong to sing a song while walking.

This was proved true on Tuesday June 6 evening at Pachanadi near here when one Johnson (19) was assaulted by a few young men representing an organization for singing while walking.

Johnson was walking home on Tuesday evening when Naveen, Manu, Mohan, Harish Tailor and Tanuj assaulted him.  They were reportedly angry at Johnson under the impression that he was singing something that hurt their feelings.

However, some sources also said that the fight was over a girl belonging to a particular community with whom Johnson had cordial relationship.

Johnson has now been admitted to a private hospital in the city for treatment.  A case has been filed with the Kankanady police in this regard.
