Dubai, Mar 23: Successful Mangalorean entrepreneur in Abu Dhabi, Leo Rodrigues, also a philanthropist and community leader, launched his new automobile venture Liwa Automobile in Dubai, which was blessed and inaugurated here on Friday March 21.
Bishop's House Abu Dhabi’s chancellor and ecclesiastical judge Fr Valerian Fernandes blessed the premises. Khalid A Shaban, assistant director of Dubai Medical City switched on the lifting machine to mark the beginning of auto service operation.
Valerian Peris, marketing manager of Liwa, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the services provided to the car owners of Dubai. Leo Rodrigues thanked the guests and staff for their support in making his business operations a huge success in Abu Dhabi and hoped to repeat the success in Dubai.
Leo Rodrigues, well known for his philanthropic works in UAE as well as back home is a strong Mangalorean community supporter among irrespective of caste, creed, language or region. He has been running Al Mazroui Automobile in Abu Dhabi for the last three decades. Having started with a humble begining of just four technicians, today Leo's companies consist over 200 employees from various nations. Being a Mangalorean, he has encouraged and supported maximum number of Mangaloreans in his company.
He also runs Texas Rent-a-Car company in Abu Dhabi.
Liwa Automobile will be a fully capable integrated automobile workshop similar to the company workshop in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, providing preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance services for light, medium and heavy vehicles. Liwa comprises of specialized team of automobile engineers, mechanics, denters/panel beaters, spray painters, A/C mechanics and auto electricians that are competent and well trained. The technical personnel with multi- dimensional hands-on experience will take care of the maintenance of a wide variety of vehicles, petrol or diesel, which include but are not limited to American, European, Japanese, and Korean.
