Dubai, March 24 (IANS): In a freak accident, an Indian truck driver died after being run over by his own vehicle in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), media reported.
The unidentified man had parked his truck near the road at Hamriya in the emirate of Sharjah Sunday morning and got out without switching the engine off, the Emirates 24X7 online reported Monday.
The police said that the man was right in front of the truck when it rolled towards him and ran over him.
"He had apparently forgotten to secure the brakes before getting out of the vehicle,” the police was quoted as saying.
