Mangalore, Jun 9: College managements that provide unauthorised courses may soon face tough times as a memorandum against such colleges has been submitted to the deputy commissioner by the Mangalore All College Students' Action Committee here on Thursday June 8.
In the memorandum, they said that colleges have been offering unauthorised courses and demanding high fees for the same, thus causing injustice to students. If the deputy commissioner failed to take action against these colleges the committee will stage a protest in front of the DC's office, said committee leaders Harish Kumar and Joylus D' Souza.
They also said that many technical colleges have not been approved by the government and several are taking donations for the purpose of construction of buildings in their campuses. They also demanded that talented students who are poor should be given financial assistance from the Students Welfare Fund of the university.
