Cargo ship carrying North Korea crew sinks


Seoul, April 4 (IANS): A Mongolian-flagged cargo ship carrying 16 North Korean crew members sank off the coast of South Korea Friday killing two crew members on board, reported Xinhua.

The ship ran aground off the coast of South Korea's southern city of Yeosu.

Three crew members were rescued, while the remaining are missing, Yonhap quoted the Coast Guard as saying.

The 4,300-tonne ship carrying steel products departed from North Korea's port city of Cheongjin and was headed for China's port of Changdao in Shandong province.
