New Delhi, Apr 4 (IBN): There has been yet another attack on the Aam Aadmi Party leaders as party chief Arvind Kejriwal was on Friday slapped by an unidentified person in Dakshinpuri in Delhi. AAP workers beat the attacker up following the incident.
Kejriwal was travelling in an open jeep during a roadshow when the incident took place. The man has now been taken into custody by police.
Soon after the attack, Kejriwal appealed to his supporters not to retaliate. "We will not retaliate even if we are killed," he said.
This is not the first time that Kejriwal has been attacked this election season. Kejriwal had faced an ink attack in Varanasi on the day he announced his candidature from the temple town.
He was also attacked in Bhiwani in Haryana last week, following which he had asked his supporters not to resort to violence.
Earlier AAP leader Yogendra Yadav too had faced an ink attack at Jantar Mantar last month.
Kejriwal has been refusing to accept security cover despite such attacks on him saying he wants to end the VVIP culture.
