Attacks on Kejriwal a 'concern', says AAP

New Delhi, April 8 (IANS): The recurring attacks on AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal is a matter of "concern", a senior Aam Aadmi Party leader said Tuesday.

Party leaders are taking the issue seriously since Kejriwal is set to leave for Varanasi to take on the BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

“The series of attacks on Arvind is a matter of concern for us. When he can be attacked in Delhi, imagine what can happen in Varanasi,” the party leader told IANS.

The leader said a large number of party supporters would be leaving for Varanasi soon to campaign for Kejriwal.

In a short span of one month, AAP convenor has been attacked five times, including twice in Delhi.

In the latest, Kejriwal was Tuesday slapped by a man at Sultanpuri in the capital.
