Dubai: 'Billawa Family Day' to be held on Apr 11

Dubai, Apr 9: "Hard work with dedication and commitment is the only way to be successful in life,"  Jeetendra Suvarna, president of Dubai Billawas emphasized during their annual function’s preparatory meeting at Karama, Dasprakash Restaurant on March 28. 

This meeting was attended by all members of executive and working committee of Billawa family.

Dubai 'Billawa Family Day' will be held on Friday April 11th at the Zabeel Ballroom, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, UAE. Muddhu Mudubelle, a retired senior radio presenter and a well‐known writer from Mangalore will be the chief guest at this function.

Dignitaries will be inaugurating the function by lighting the traditional lamp in the morning.

It was decided at the meeting that award winning and famed folklore director Chandrashekar Suvarna of 'Suvarna Arts' Mulki will be felicitated during this event for his outstanding works in the field of Tulu folklore.

General secretary  Sudhakar Poojary announced that Chandrashekar Suvarna (Suvarna Arts Mulki), Kala Suvarna, Gagan Suvarna, Diksha Suvarna and Uday Amin, Mulki along with the participation of more than 40 members of the community will perform in 'Tulu Nada Vaibhava' – a cultural, dance, musical extravaganza during this event. Along with this main event, various other performances will be held on behest of other members of the UAE Billawa community.
