Mumbai: 'Ram Navami' celebrated at Adamaru Mutt

Mumbai, Apr 9: Ramanavami celebrations were held in Adamaru Mutt in suburban Andheri east.  Udupi Adamaru Sri Vishwapriya Swamiji set the celebrations in motion with pooja.

Vishwapriya Swamy read the scriptures and said that the readings are suitable for all religious, social, educational or political situations even now.  The married couples these days are not in a position to trust each other.  There is lack of trust between husband and wife, teacher and student, the king and the citizens or the employer and the employee.

The teachings were conveyed by Vyasa to the world through Vidhura and Dhritarastra.  Each verse in it is in the form of incantation and if we recite the verses to Lord Srikrishna, we can get rid of hatred and have harmonious living in any relationship, said the priest.

The priest had held preparation for the festival for the last nine days by holding special devotional prayers, Havana cultural programmes, Bhajans, devotional music, devotional dance etc.

Several religious programmes such as Panchamratha Abhisheka, Hari Bhajane, Mahapooje and Annasantarpane were held in the morning.

Bhajans, Bharatanatya, Harikathe Kalakshepa, Pallakki Utsava, Ramayana Pravachana and Mangala Pantrakshate were held as part of eighteenth anniversary of Sri Ramanavami Utsava of Sri Adamaru Mutt.

Ramachandra Bhat Jogeshwari, Sudhir R C Bhat, Raghupathi Tanthri and other dignitaries and several priests were present at the programme.

Sripada was welcomed with Tulasi flower garland.  Padubidri V Rajesh Rao, manager of Sri Adamaru Mutt welcomed.  Laxminarayana Muchitaya conducted the programme.
