Global Multi-Specialty hospital to open on Apr 13

"The coastal city is on the brink of a revolution in the healthcare industry. The first UK-based corporate hospital ‘Global Multi Specialty’, will come to the city soon," said Dr Sudharam Rai.

The hospital will be inaugurated on Sunday April 13 at Matadakani.

Addressing reporters, Dr Rai said, "The hospital is dedicated to providing the highest quality of healthcare where patients will receive homely, amiable, and immediate service along with 5-star comfort. The hospital can boast of the most modern hi-tech medical facilities at an affordable cost.”

“The newly built general ward and outpatient department will be inaugurated by Mahabala Marla, Mayor of Mangalore City Corporation. Businessman A J Shetty, Dr H R Rajeshwar Devi, district surgeon and superintendent of Wenlock District Hospital, Dr H T Manorama Rao, Dr E V S Maben, and Anand K will be the chief guests,” he added.

Dr Rai further added that the specialist treatment provided in the hospital includes maternity, pediatrics, general medicine, general surgery, orthopedics, nephrology, dialysis, ENT, cardiology, neurology, dentistry, cosmetic surgery, and cosmetic dentistry. “These will be backed by advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment. Most of the senior and junior consultants / specialists will be available at Global, providing the best care in a serene environment,” he added.

“The hospital will provide the best possible mother and baby care, giving a lot of importance to women having a baby, provide prenatal advice, antenatal care, delivery and post natal care.  We will look after the whole phase of motherhood including the delivery of a healthy baby, in a modern well-equipped labour suite and NICU. Further, we will follow-up progress of the babies till they are 1-year-old and record the milestones carefully,” added Dr Rai.

“The hospital's modular hi-tech OT and ICU are backed by the latest gadgets. Two major OTs have been designed to ensure 100 percent infection control, with hermetically-sealed doors and laminar flow. Provisions for conferencing and digital monitoring with modular set-up are available," he said. Dr Sushil Jathanna was present at the meet.
