Mangalore, Jun 16: Many police inspectors serving in the undivided district of Dakshina Kannada have been transferred following an order by the state government issued on Wednesday June 14 night.

Accordingly DySP of Udupi DCRB P Harishchandra has been transferred to Mangalore sub-division as DySP while Panambur DySP Mithra Heraje has been transferred to Puttur. Gangadhar Kauri is been asked to take over as DySP of Panambur.  As per the order Sirsi DySP Dharmayya has been transferred to Udupi CSP while V B Gaonkar will take charge as DySP of Sirsi.

Jayant V Shetty who had given a new shape to the district Anti-rowdy Squad some years ago is once again transferred to the district from Bangalore rural.  He is appointed inspector of Ullal police station in place of Anand Kaburi.  Mulki police inspector Mathew Thomas has been transferred to Puttur town station while railway inspector Vittaldas Pai has been asked to take charge of Mulki station.

Puttur town police inspector Manjunath Shetty has been transferred to Puttur rural police station, while Puttur rural inspector Sanjiv Naik has been transferred to Udupi.  Vasant Kumar is appointed to Sullia police station and Subhaschandra has been transferred to Beltangady.  Inspector Gangi Reddy has been transferred to Bijapur and K M Chandrashekhar has been asked to take charge of Kadri police station. Praveen Naik has been appointed to Manipal station and Ganesh Hegde has been transferred to Brahmavar police station.
