12 killed in Myanmar road accident


Yangon, April 12 (IANS): Twelve people were killed and four others injured Saturday when a passenger bus collided with a car on Yangon-Mandalay expressway in Myanmar's Bago region, police said.

The bus carrying about 44 passengers bound for Yangon from Taunggyi, the capital of Shan State, collided with the car at 2.10 a.m. about 267 km from Yangon. Both the vehicles were almost totally destroyed, Xinhua reported.

The seriously injured passengers were admitted to a nearby hospital.
