AAP candidate thrashed allegedly with rods; stones hurled at Shazia Ilmi

Neemuch (MP), Apr 14 (PTI): Unidentified men raised slogans in support of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and pelted stones at the dais during an Aam Aadmi Party rally addressed by Shazia Ilmi here today.

She was addressing the rally in support of AAP candidate from the Mandsaur-Neemuch Lok Sabha seat Paras Saklecha.

As she began criticising Modi, the unidentified men started raising slogans in support of Modi and later pelted stones towards the dais, forcing her to stop her speech.

Later, AAP workers and police chased the men but they managed to flee the spot.

After the rally, Ilmi, along with AAP workers, marched towards Kotwali police station, filed a complaint and demanded registration of a case against BJP workers.

Ilmi told reporters that if they had guts they should come in front and throw stones, and that they should feel ashamed to pelt stones at a woman.

Superintendent of Police (CSP) Pankaj Dixit said that after watching the video-recording of the event and CCTV footage, legal action would be taken in the matter.

AAP's district convenor Amit Sharma said that anti-social elements of both the BJP and the Congress were involved in the incident.

AAP IS A CLEAN PARTY. It was a very beginning for AAP may be lack of political experiences. It happens some time. This time people expecting AAP will come on power.already people all know BJP criminal mind behind innocence faces.BJP DOESN`T HAVE THAT OPEN MIND FOR PEOPLE TO MAKE COUNTRY & peoples life BEAUTIFUL.First of all they are un organised, messy & criminal minds. It is for sure, if BJP COMES ON POWER, They will create more scenes in a democratic country. EXCEPT hinduthwa, they dont have anything, any plans in their mind.First, of all they must learn to respect themselves before they respect others. Those who act negatively, they cant grow the country. Gujrath is not developed as much karnataka & other states. it`s some sort of political stunt to fool people. How many crores they might have wasted for this election campaign...? If they could had spent same amount for country, the india`s story would have been different.

It is very surprising that we choose to hate those who dare and care. We know from experience that the best brains be it from IITs, IIMs, NITs and other top schools migrate to US/UK/Germany because they see no future in this country. For the first time, we have a new crop of accomplished people enter politics wanting to make a difference. We know taking our nation forward in this turbulent times needs genius. We cannot be so dumb and foolish to entrust ours and our children's future in the hands of under performers. Let's look for leaders whom we can showcase to the world. Never mind which party they belong. Are we not the emerging economy? In our everyday life don't we make the right choices for ourselves and our children? Don't we know that religion and politics cannot go hand in hand? Our vote will decide our fate.

They have been after AAP just before and after Delhi election where they could not form a government by themselves. After that they have resorted to dubious attacks on AAP which is eroding votes from them and denting their chances of LS election success. This attack, that too on a woman!!, shows how low they can get to win the election by "HOOK OR CROOK". Although they shout hoarse that there is Modi wave, they are worried so much about their chance of forming Govt. in this election too.
Any hype created will not last long as they have to keep on telling voters that there is Modi wave until the last vote is cast. The hype is not so effective as in the very beginning as the voters have realised it is not the REALITY. Day by day voters have come across the facts and as a result, their Modi wave is losing height\velocity and many do not even notice it.
I condemn this attack on another political party who is trying to reign in corruption, but the corrupt political party is bent upon choking the new party before it creates havoc with corrupt political parties.

Therefore vote diligently.. do not support\vote corrupt, useless candidates of any party at all.

ILMI IS GOOD AT MAKING DRAMA HIRING GOONDAS AND THEN TO BLAME BJP/CONGI FOR SYMPAHY VOTES.
BJP OK BUT WHY CONGRESS IS TO BE BLAMED HERE IS CLEARLY SHOWS IS A STAGE CREATION BY AAP WITH ILMI AS HEROINE AND AMIT AS HERO OTHERWISE HOW COULD THEY ESCAPE FROM SECURITY SECURITY SO EASILY ?
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH TOO MUCH IS TOO BAD. ONCE WE FELT AAP IS A BETTER ALTERNATIVE FOR BJP & CONGIS BUT IT LOOKS LIKE THIS IS THIRD RATED PARTY NOT BEING DIGNIFIED ONE.
NOW A DAYS ALL POLITICIANS LOST QOOD QUALITIES SIMPLY TO FOOL THE VOTERS ONE WAY OR THE OTHER BUT WE WANT QUALIFIED QUALITY POLITICIANS TO LEAD US WHICH IS VERY RARE.

Throwing stones ?? That too at a lady candidate ? How desperate are these Modi's men are.

If not for the AAP's guts it would have vanished long time back from the political scene. But I know Ms. Ilmi how daring she is.

But these goons do not know with every physical attack like this, they are creating more sympathy and more votes for the aam Aadmi party.

Looks certain AAP is here to stay - whether you like it or not.

Sad and worst part of democracy. Just shows how the people misuse democracy. We are blaming Pakistan for terror activities. What about internal terrorism? Indians are attacking Indians, Indians are raping Indians and Indians looting Indians. To stop all these, we should have a strong military dictatorship whereas there should be shoot at sight orders for those who create all this nuisance. We are fed up of this political system where politicians become richer overnight and rich become richer and richest and poor remains poor and he will be made poorer by these rich and political parties.

I totally stand by your views and vision about India.

Apart from opting for a military rule, the judicial process should also be expedited and the culprit should be brought to justice hardly within a weeks time, rather than the current practice, waiting for years to get the verdict delivered.

Here everybody can slap on the cheek, throw stones and shoes at a public figure and get away easily in the name of democracy. Because the law of the land is loose.
