Mangalore: Truck smashes into two vehicles, enters shop

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Apr 14: A tipper truck hit two vehicles, a Mahindra Bolero and a Tata Nano, which were parked by the side of Ullanje road leading outside the town on the evening of Sunday April 13. The accident occurred at Sukhananda Shetty Circle on the main road.

A catastrophe was averted as the tipper narrowly avoided hitting an electric pole. Only a handful of people were waiting for bus at the nearby bus stop as it was Sunday evening, and all of them scurried to safety on seeing the wayward tipper.

The roof of the shop and protective wall got demolished because of the accident. As the vehicles in question did not have any occupants at the time of the accident, injuries or loss of lives did not happen.
