Mangalore, Jun 18: "Directory Business Cards - 2006", the commercial white pages, yellow pages and business cards of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts were released at Hotel Woodlands here on Saturday.

The first-ever business cards directory was brought out by Directory Yellow Pages Pvt Ltd and was released by district in-charge minister B Nagaraj Shetty.

Speaking on the occasion he said the city dwellers are witness to major advancements and rapid pace of activities and development. Use of advanced technology in obtaining informing must be utilized, he said.

Alva's Education Foundation chairman Dr Mohan Alva will preside over.

Fr Francis Xavier Gomes, principal of St Philomena College Puttur,  ZP president Mamatha D S Gatty and H Damodar Nayak, general manager, medical marketing of Manipal Media Network Ltd Group were also present on the occasion.

A musical nite by Shads Music World (Naushad and group) was held after the formal programme.
