Karkala: ‘Konkani-Tulu-Kannada’ comedy nite to be held on Apr 20

Karkala, Apr 16: As part of Easter celebrations, Band Silver Tones will host a ‘Comedy Nite’ on Sunday April 20, at the Souharda Sabha Bhavan, Attur-Karkala, from 6 pm.

The event will be unique in its genre and is will be the first ever comedy programme in the Udupi district, as the famous comedians of Konkani, Tulu and Kannada will share the stage.

According to organizers, Ramesh Babu, an internationally known Kannada actor and comedy artiste will perform. He is known for the programme ‘Zee-TV Comedy Khiladigalu’ and has performed in over 2,700 shows in ten countries.

The Tulu comedy will be presented by ‘Prasamsa Kaup,’ winners of ‘Bale Thelipale- season-I.’ They are very well known for their acts around the Mangalore- Udupi region and have performed in many national and international events.

‘Bindaas Pernal,’ a talented group of comedy artists from Udupi, led by Alwyn Danthy will add the icing of the cake; this group is also famous in the Konkani-Tulu community for their mind-boggling jokes in Konkani.

The highlight of the evening will be three hours of rib-tickling humor and will be a feast to all comedy lovers.

The entry for the event will be limited and passes are already being issued. Those who wish to attend the event are requested to book their seats immediately to avoid a last minute rush.
