Mumbai, Jun 19: Luv, son of actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, lost belongings worth Rs 41,000 from his Hyundai Accent from outside a Khar pub late on Saturday night.
According to the complaint lodged at Khar police station, the 24-year-old had handed over his car to the valet at Khyber on 5th Road, behind Hotel Ramee International, at 1.10 am.
When Luv came out after 10 minutes and drove off, he didn’t notice anything wrong at first. “After driving for a couple of minutes, he realised his Sony Xplod CD system, his digital camera and a pair of imported sneakers were missing,” said investigating officer Murlidhar Karpe of the Khar police.
Luv then returned to the restaurant and informed the authorities, who in turn questioned the valet staff. Luv lodged a complaint at the police station at 5.25 am.
A friend added, “Luv was upset as he lost his favourite pair of sneakers, besides an expensive music system.”
A pub official said, “We do help guests park their cars and keep a check on them, but our tokens clearly state that the car is parked on the owner’s risk,” he said.
