Senior Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir injured in firing


Islamabad, April 19 (IANS): Pakistan's Geo News' senior anchorperson Hamid Mir was injured in an attack by gunmen in Karachi Saturday.

Four gunmen riding on two motorcycles opened fire on Hamid Mir's car a few kilometers away from the airport police station, The News International reported.

A Geo News correspondent said Hamid Mir was going from Karachi airport to the Geo office when he was attacked.

He received bullet injuries and was admitted to a private hospital.
