Six killed in Kashmir road accident

Jammu, April 19 (IANS): Six people were killed and five others injured Saturday in a road accident in the hilly Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

Police said a taxi went out of the driver's control and rolled down a deep gorge, around 230 km from Jammu.

"The vehicle went out of the driver's control at Drabshalla and rolled down a gorge, killing six passengers on the spot while five injured were rescued and taken to a hospital," police told IANS.

The taxi was carrying passengers from Himachal Pradesh to Kishtwar town.
