Four labourers killed in Mathura

Mathura, April 20 (IANS): Four labourers caught in a cross-fire between feuding families in a village here were killed, officials said Sunday.

The incident took place around midnight when the four, returning from Bharatpur district, were caught in a gun fight near village Mahrauli.

"It was a family feud going on for some time, not a gang war. No arrests have been made so far, but we have taken necessary precautions," Senior Superintendent of Police Akhilesh Meena told IANS.

The police are combing the area to nab the attackers who kept firing for more than 20 minutes.

Senior police and district officials rushed to the site.
