Three killed in firing in Quetta

Islamabad, April 21 (IANS): At least three people were killed and one injured Monday when armed motorcyclists began firing indiscriminately in Quetta, capital of Pakistan's Balochistan province, police said.

Armed motorcyclists began firing indiscriminately at a Land Cruiser, killing on the spot the two people who were inside the vehicle, Dawn online reported citing Superintendent of Police Imran Qureshi.

"This seems to be an act of targeted killing," Qureshi said.

One passerby also sustained serious bullet wounds.

“The injured was being shifted to hospital when he succumbed to his injuries,” Qureshi added.

The assailants sped away on their motorcycles after the firing.

The bodies were shifted to Quetta Civil hospital.
