Bangalore: Kisan Ket Mazdoor Congress condemns Kabeer’s Killing

Bangalore, Apr 21:
Sachin Meega, the vice president of the Kisan Khet Mazdoor Congress, a unit of KPCC condemned the killing of Kabeer, a cattle transporter, by the ANF. The encounter took place near the Tanikodu forest check post in the Shringeri taluk.
 
He said, “Even though it is said that the encounter was carried out due to the suspected behavior of the people in the naxal belt, a detailed investigation has to be done with regard to this case.”
 
“It is a condemnable act of the group which attacked the vehicle in which Kabeer’s family was travelling to bring his mortal remains. The people who are behind all these acts have to be arrested and strict action has to be taken against them,” he added.
 
He said, “The taluk administration has to take proper steps to control illegal trafficking of cattle. Proper investigation is a must and perfect justice has to be given.”
 
“We welcome the act of the government which has ordered all an investigation and have declared a compensation of Rs 5 lacs,” Sachin stated.
