Mumbai, Jun 20: Some portions of three-storey Supariwala mansion, Parel, collapsed around 10 pm on Sunday night, when a slab gave away. There were no casualties, as the landlord had evacuated the building 15 days ago.

Said landlord Razak Supariwala (38), “This building was also listed in MHADA’s list of dangerous buildings. So, we decided to evacuate it. ”

The building, which was constructed in 1935, has been due for redevelopment since a few years. However, it has been stalled due to a litigation. There are in all 24 tenements in the building.
