Sao Paulo, Apr 23 (IANS): Botafogo captain Jefferson has lauded the impact left by Clarence Seedorf on the Rio de Janeiro club.
In an interview with Radio Globo, the Brazil international said Seedorf had left a lasting impression after his 18-month spell in Brazil, Xinhua reported.
"Seedorf arrived at Botafogo and revolutionized us with his attitude and professionalism," Jefferson said. "The motivation in him at times was very strong."
Despite the strong praise, Jefferson said the Dutchman "sometimes tried to change things too fast".
"I think in three or four months he tried to change things that need years," Jefferson added.
Seedorf left Botafogo in January to take the manager's role at AC Milan, where he spent a decade as a player.
He guided the Rio outfit to fourth in Brazil's top flight last year, earning them a place in the Copa Libertadores - South America's premier club competition - for the first time since 1996.
