Puttur: Accident at Kootelu – two-wheeler rider serious

Puttur, Apr 26: In an accident which occurred near Kootelu Dargah near Uppinangady on Friday April 25, a two-wheeler rider suffered critical injuries. A car and a motorbike were involved in the accident, in which Abbas (21) was injured and admitted into the intensive care unit of a hospital in Mangalore.

Abbas, son of Usman from Atoor-Kudloor House near Koila, was returning home after taking his aunt, Bifathumma (60) to a doctor in Uppinangady for treatment. When the vehicle was passing from near the said mosque, a car that was moving towards Mangalore hit his vehicle. Both Abbas and Bifathumma, who fell down, suffered serious injuries, and were taken to a hospital in Mangalore.

It is said that Bifathumma is now out of danger, but the condition of Abbas remains critical. A case was registered by the traffic police in Puttur in this connection.
