Mangalore, Apr 26: A bus conductor, who got into a verbal fight with a passenger with regard to the ticket, assaulted a passenger.
The conductor along with the cleaner dragged the passenger off the bus here in Vidhyagiri at Moodbidri.
The incident occurred in a bus named Joyson bearing the registration number Ka 19 AA 3001, plying between Mulky- Moodabidri. The passenger has been identified as Shankar Shetty, a resident of Dharmasthala who was traveling towards Moodbidri.
The bus was packed and as usual the conductor was asking the passengers to move away from the door. The conductor identified as Balakrishna started a verbal fight with Shankar over the issue of a ticket and Shankar did not listen to the conductor.
It is learnt that, at that time, the cleaner of the bus, Jeevan who was on the footboard, assaulted Shankar. Later both the conductor and cleaner pushed Shankar off the bus and moved on.
Shankar was hurt in the incident and is recovering in a private hospital.
A complaint has been registered at the Moodbidri police station and police plan to lay a trap to catch Balakrishna and Jeevan, it is learnt.
