Indian judokas get South Korean coach


New Delhi, April 28 (IANS): The Judo Federation of India (JFI) Monday appointed foreign coach Kwang Sun Yoo from South Korea to prepare the national team for the upcoming Glasgow Commonwealth Games and the Incheon Asian Games.

Yoo has been appointed by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and will reach here April 29. He will join other Indian coaches at the ongoing national camps.

The first phase of the national camps is currently being held and will continue till May 19. The men's team is preparing in Aurangabad while the women are training in Bhopal from April 25.

JFI general secretary Man Mohan Jaiswal said in a release that the team selected for the Commonwealth Games will go to Tashkent for a training programme with the national team of Uzbekistan to be held from May 20 to June 6.
