Mumbai, Jun 22: The Lions Club of Bombay Lakeside (Mulund) has unanimously been elected Andrew Raymond Lobo as president for the year 2006-07.

The installation ceremony will be held on Sunday June 25 at 10.30 am at Vasanth Garden, near Swapna Nagar, Mulund (W), here.

MJF Ln Dwarka Jalan will preside and conduct a seminar. MJF Ln Rajesh Mehra of Lakeside Lions Club will be honoured on the occasion, a release said.

The club consists of a very large number of Tulu-Kannadigas, who have been governing the club from long.  

Last year the club won 13 awards for its service in various fields.

A R Lobo, proprietor of Raymond & Co., had joined the club in the year 1998. He will be serving in the capacities of director and vice president of the club. He has authored articles like ‘Kante Khunte’ and ‘Phulan Jhele’. He is also an active member of Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
