Pacers beat Hawks, keep playoff hopes alive


Washington, May 2 (IANS): Top-seeded Indiana Pacers defeated the Atlanta Hawks 95-88, to draw the NBA Eastern Playoffs first round series 3-3.

The two teams were Thursday tied at 85-85 with 83 seconds to go in the final quarter, only to see the Pacers close the game with a 10-4 spurt, reports Xinhua.

David West led the Pacers with 24 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and two steals. Paul George also had 24 points while Lance Stephenson added 21 points and nine rebounds.

Jeff Teague had a game-high 29 points for the Hawks. Paul Milsap and Louis Williams had 16 points each.

Game 7 would be held in Indianapolis Saturday.
