Five killed in attack in Libya

Tripoli, May 2 (IANS): At least five people were killed and 11 injured Friday when gunmen launched an attack against security forces in the Libyan city of Benghazi, an official said.

One police officer and four Special Forces soldiers were among the dead, and some of the injured were in critical condition, Xinhua quoted the official as saying.

Security sources said the gunmen were presumably ex-fighters who took part in the war which toppled Libya's former leader Muammar Gaddafi.
