Dubai, Jun 25: Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has tied up with UAE Exchange, the local money exchange house, to offer travel insurance scheme to non-resident Indians.

The new product, IOB NRI Shield, offered jointly by United India Insurance Company Ltd and the IOB, will provide insurance cover to NRIs during their holiday stay in India.

The insurance covers contingencies including ailments, accidents, and baggage loss, an official said.

The minimum premium payable for a coverage of up to Rs One lakh, for a maximum of 180 days a year, is Rs 281.
