Madrid, May 5 (IANS): Honda rider Marc Marquez won the Spanish MotoGP in front of his home fans in Jerez.
The reigning World Champion put in another dominant display in a race Sunday in which Jorge Lorenzo suffered a bad start, allowing Marquez, who was followed by Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) and fellow Spaniard Dani Pedrosa (Honda), to race into the lead, reports Xinhua.
Marquez's victory in Jerez saw him move 28 points clear of Pedrosa in the riders' Championship, with Rossi 39 points behind and Lorenzo 65 off the pace.
