Puttur, Jun 25: The Kadaba police are investigating a case where miscreants misused a telephone connection to make overseas calls.
The incident came to light Koila Panchayat former president and lawyer Ravikiran Koila’s father, Veerappa Dasaiah and one D T Bhat complained against misuse of telephone facility.
According to the complaint lodged with the Telecom department and Kadaba Police station, the families had not made any international calls as they do not have relatives or acquaintance in Saudi Arabia and Oman to where the calls were made.
The connection was disconnected to these houses in the April. The telephone bill revealed that overseas calls were made. It is said that miscreants might have tampered the cables to make overseas calls.
