SC unblocks nursery admissions in Delhi


New Delhi, May 7 (IANS): The Supreme Court (SC) Wednesday revoked suspension of nursery admissions, and said the children of parents who have moved the court for admission under inter-state quota, would be admitted to the schools were they have applied.

In case, there is no seat available for the 24 children, they will be accommodated by creating additional seats in the schools, the court ruled.

Having said so, the apex court bench of Justice H.L. Dattu, Justice M.Y. Eqbal and Justice S.A. Bobde revoked the suspension of the admissions, and cleared the way for the children to enter schools.
