DU to hold sessions for admission guidance

New Delhi, May 7 (IANS): Starting May 21, the Delhi University (DU) will hold open sessions to guide students aspiring to study at the varsity, an official said Wednesday.

The sessions, which will be addressed by the varsity's teaching faculty, will explain to students and parents about the admission process and the courses offered.

"Students are not aware about the admission process, on what is to be done and how it is to be done. These sessions will guide them and provide them information," said J.M. Khurana, dean of students' welfare, Delhi University told IANS.

The first session will be held May 21 and 22 in the varsity's north campus.

In its south campus, the sessions will be at the S.P. Jain Centre May 23 and 24 following which, they will be held again at the north campus from May 26 to 30.

Admissions to the four-year undergraduate programme at Delhi University begin June 2.
