Bomb kills eight in Pakistan


Islamabad, May 8 (IANS): At least eight soldiers were killed Thursday when a remote-controlled bomb exploded in Pakistan's North Waziristan region, a media report said.

An improvised explosive device (IED) went off near the security force headquarters near Miramshah when a security forces' convoy reached the area, Dawn online reported.

An army statement also several security personnel were also injured in the attack.
